The Burl, the monthly newsletter for the Willamette Valley Woodturners, is published approximately 7 - 10 days before each month's regularly scheduled meeting. It is mailed out to members that do not have access to the Internet. To save on publication costs, please notify the newsletter editor if you currently get the newsletter via US Mail, but can access it via Email. Please also notify the editor if you are a member and your e-mail address has changed or is now invalid.

To offset room rental and other club expenses, we charge a fee of $30 a year for membership. For those joining mid-year, this fee is prorated on a quarterly basis. Spouses that wish to attend club meetings and events are included as full members at no extra charge.

In addition to the regular monthly meeting, we have informal sawdust sessions several times a year for those wishing to learn a particular skill. Members needing one-on-one sessions - whether as a beginner or just to refine a specific skill - are welcome to contact one of our several volunteer mentors.

Wood Raffle
Don't forget to bring wood or other items to the monthly meeting for the raffle. Then, help our library continue to expand by buying tickets for $1 each. To help us get to know each other, everyone that wears his or her name badge gets a free ticket! If you don�t have your badge, pick up a temporary one from the table near the door.

Instant Gallery

Anyone who brings at least one item to the Instant Gallery session held at each regular monthly meeting will be entered in a drawing for a special gift. After the gift drawing, the remaining show-n-tell tickets are added into the wood raffle drawing. (Limit one show-n-tell ticket per person per month.)
