Our Club's Monthly Meeting Program

Thursday, October 13, 2022
Salem Center 50+
Demonstrator: Tom Willing
Details: Turning Spheres

Tom uses the jigless approach to turning spheres. This approach allows the turner
to make an infinite range of sizes of sphere. The technique requires that the
turner be able to make a number of fitments for holding the material in different
ways, including a Morse taper drive and various wooden collars to protect the
finished sphere from live and drive centers.

Welcome to the Internet home of the Willamette Valley Woodturners. Our club is dedicated to preserve, enhance and pass on to future generations the cultural traditions and techniques of woodturning, and to promote wider community interest in woodturning as an art form and creative craft. We provide a time and place for fellowship with others who share an interest in this craft, regardless of their level of woodturning experience.
