The Willamette Valley Woodturners was created in May of 1997 to serve woodturners in the
mid-Willamette Valley region of Oregon. While many of our members live in or near Salem, a number of
our members come from across the valley. Several travel from the Corvallis area in the south, or from
McMinnville, Lake Oswego and other communities to the north. We also draw members from as far west as
the Oregon coast, and east to the Cascade mountains. All these men and women have a few things in common
    – a love of woodturning, a desire to learn, and a willingness to share. We are now approximately 110
members strong, ranging in age from our senior member at 93, and our youngest member at 15. Our club is
open to anyone regardless of gender, race, religion, or level of woodturning experience. For liability
reasons, we ask that minors be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Our club has a regular meeting on the second Thursday of each month.  We meet at the
Salem Senior Center, now called Center 50+, located at 2615 Portland Rd., NE, Salem, OR 97303.
Click here for a map. Doors open at 6:00 PM for visiting and use of the
library. The meeting starts at 6:30 PM and ends by 9:00 PM, when the center closes.
